A Cinderella Incinerating Toilet is NSF and C-UL-US certified, and designed so the combustion chamber cannot be opened once an incineration cycle has started, and independent lab testing rated the risk of a child accessing the ash pan or coming into contact with hot or moving parts as very low to low. The exterior does get warm during a cycle but stays well below a burn-risk temperature. As with any household appliance involving heat, we still recommend normal adult supervision for young children.
