It can. The enclosed ventilation system may condense when outdoor temperatures are much colder than the room’s indoor air, so it includes a small drain to handle moisture. Proper room ventilation matters most in spaces that also have a shower or bath. Note: a bathroom exhaust fan will conflict with the Freedom (propane) model but not the Comfort model, since Comfort is a two-pipe system unaffected by exhaust fans. For cold-climate properties, we recommend the Comfort model with the winter kit.
